Individual Therapy for Young Women
Young women disproportionally experience many transient mental health conditions like depression and anxiety. But in early life, young women are often missed for lifelong neurodevelopmental conditions like Autism and ADHD. We’re here to support you in navigating the common experiences of young adulthood, including but not limited to: detoxing from cultural nonsense, correcting misdiagnosis, supporting the development of fulfilling relationships, promoting identity exploration, and basically talking less so we can listen better to YOU!
Individual Therapy and Coaching for Parents
If you are a parent, or are thinking about becoming one, the prospect of therapy probably never seemed scarier or more hopeful. 90% of the work is learning to tap into “gut instincts” and intuition that isn’t really gut-work at all. It’s inherited wisdom from countless generations of human experience, channeled into your family’s specific stories, challenges and strengths. Typically people want help with “embarrassing” things like debilitating love/anger that comes out sideways towards people we care about most. Or godforbid, sounding exactly like…our own parents.
Testing
Dr. C-W’s first question will be: have you ever done testing before? Often, people who come to see us were diagnosed with a particular condition in childhood, which has evolved over time. In those cases, we are engaging in a psychological “tune up” to make sure that the current diagnosis and treatment plan is up-to-date. Plenty of other adults have never done testing before, and are curious about their cognitive, emotional and social profile. Testing involves an intake appointment, one or two half-day sessions and more often than not, a couple of questionnaires you can complete virtually. The process is very different from therapy, so please feel free to call and ask for more information. All your questions are good questions.
